Once again Scott, Elsie and I joined forces to do a Graduation photo shoot for me.

Perth Fashion Festival - Menswear

Perth Fashion Festival - I had one garment in the Men's Ready-to-wear category. 

I made a hand knitted vest, mola worked cotton jersey top and recycled blazers converted into shorts. Keeping it Green!!!!!

Way out Bush!!!!

Photographer Scott G Trenorden, makeup artist Elsie Tan and I got together to discuss a photo shoot idea that Scott had. He knew of a great location way way way out bush for a great fashion shoot, and it was great!!! I designed and made a two dresses (purple and silver) and brought along a few more of my older ones. The main vision for the shoot was light floaty gowns.

We spent two days out bush. We stayed at this big old country home in the middle of no-where. It had such character. It was so enchanting. Great company, great house, great photo shoot.

I love this picture with Elsie the MUA holding the gown, Alanna so casual wearing a light weight gown in the freezing southern wind, Scott and Megan getting the lighting right...

It was amazing how the sky changed so quickly between models. It was perfect to have the blue sky with the blue gown Alanna O wore and this Purple one worn by Rach. She just looked stunning, they both did.

Prelude

Prelude was a fashion event held in Perth in the lead up to Perth Fashion Festival. 

One of my closest girlfriends Rasha from fashion school had a dress in it!!

Vampire Shoot!!!

This photo shoot was by far the most fun I have had at a photo shoot to date... It was Vampire inspired and headed up by photographer Scott G Trenorden and model Zherish Opperman.

I got to spent about 12 hours of shooting with some really great company. The other designers there were Hannah Farleigh and Kate Townsend. The image above photographed by Kate Drennan she did some images of her own whilst recording the happenings of the day.

The following images are by Scott - this first dress is Rachael Cross wearing my gold beaded dress from the Australian Fashion Design Awards. The beading on this dress makes it really heavy.

Once again Rach wearing my gold dress and the other female model is dressed by Kate Townsend.

Ammmmmazing Knitting Machine

This garment is created using 4 different knit designs, one hand knitted (brown yarn by me) and three different styles of knitting constructed by the- Shima Seiki NewSES183SW14 machine, housed at The Department of Agriculture and Food, Government of Western Australia (DAFWA). Programmed by the High-Tech Knitting Consultant, Sooyung Yang. This machine knits whole garments. Therefore, this dress is seamless. It was designed as one complete tube and is made from Italian wool.

Firstly, it was a great privilegde to be working out of Sooyung Yang (knit fashion designer) studio. Then to be designing with my good friend Justine Valender this was a fun fun fun project. This machine is astounding.

Sooyung Yang in her studio by the incredible machine

From Start to finish it took about 3-4 weeks to design and then knit... the knitting process is quick but the programming takes some time. Thank heavens for the brilliance of Sooyung Yang.

Box Magazine

Jacqui Brown from FashionWA wore a bek bek timson design on the Red Carpet at StyleAid. My gown made it into Box Magazine. It is featured along side some great designers (Louis Vuitton, Dior, Ksubi, Yves Saint Laurent, Wayne Cooper, Ruth Travydas and Hugo Boss) so it was a big priviledge (even if they did spell my name wrong).

This event was massive. I got to work with some of my fav models and also some of my fav designers.... Aurelio Costarella, Ruth Travydas, Love In Tokyo, Flannel and more...
